With advanced skills and experience using the Adobe suite of production software including Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Audition and Photoshop, Paul has produced a broad range of multimedia content on behalf of clients. He believes that authentic connections to the subject manner are the key to producing excellent work. “When I first decided to start my own video production business, my aim was to produce informative and entertaining narrative. I have always aimed to produce work to the highest technical levels, regardless of the project budget. I treat my profession as the creative outlet it is. I think it’s a great privilege to be able to make a living out of a skill I enjoy. I believe every piece of work should be approached from a unique creative stance and everything included should contribute in some way.”
Since Paul Carpenter Films, formerly Alchemy Productions, was launched in 2002, Paul’s filmmaking commissions have also led him to work extensively with students, communities and individuals with special needs and learning disabilities. As part of nationwide creative projects managed by the Royal Opera House and Arts Council England, Paul has devised and delivered practical filmmaking tuition and interactive sessions leading to group production film projects. Other clients in this field include ROH Bridge, Aspirational Arts Partnership Ltd, Ormiston Park Academy, DeLaSalle School, South Ockendon Community Forum,Theatre Is, Leigh North Street School, Pioneer School, Thurrock Council (V-One.tv), Pinpoint and Thurrock’s Next Top Boss.
The appeal of linking creative and technical disciplines has captured Paul’s imagination from childhood. “I’m fortunate to be able to combine my passions. My productions, and my creative ideas in general, are almost always inspired by unique combinations of music, imagery, emotion and ambience.”
Paul also believes that relationships play an important part in the production process. “I have committed a great deal of time and resources in learning my craft, but engaging with the people I am working for and being able to produce content that genuinely means something to them is a great reward.”
Combining a dedicated and creative approach with one-to-one client collaboration, specialist technical expertise, high end equipment and a commitment to surpass expectations, Paul aims to produce consistently effective work; on time and on budget.
