Hello and thanks for visiting.  I am an independent film-maker trading as Paul Carpenter Films (formerly known as Alchemy Productions) and I specialise in corporate documentary and arts documentary. 

Although primarily a documentary-maker, I also produce music videos, promos and event coverage and have now been producing professional films for almost a decade.   Competing within a heavily saturated market, my aims are quite simple:  I want to tell powerful real-life stories that have a genuine impact on those who watch and those who take part.  I want to combine art, journalism and media to enfuse my films with a unique creative style that makes them stand out from the crowd.

I have worked for many prestigious clients in London and the south east of England including the Royal Opera House, Thurrock Council, London Borough of Havering, Pinpoint Create, Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions, Supply London, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Theatre Is, Northcliffe Media, Rainham Steel and many, many more.  I have worked extensively with young people, with individuals with special needs and learning disabilities and in regular schools, delivering filmmaking tuition and workshops.

My goal since I started my video production business has been to produce creative broadcast-quality videos and films at an exceptional standard and viable cost to a very broad range of clients.  I like to work in a discreet, self-contained manner and believe that great communication and an emotional connection is the key to producing top-level production work.

I have multi-camera high definition video production equipment as well as 24p and 25p  DSLR film facilities.  Further information is available on my technical info page. I am a highly experienced editor and specialise in Adobe Creative Suite products including Premiere and After Effects.
