Hello and thanks for visiting! I am an independent professional film-maker and production freelancer. I offer a broad range of services but specialise in documentaries, promotional and educational films, community arts, music video and corporate web video projects. My aim is to make broadcast-quality productions accessible to everyday people, businesses and community organisations.
I have been making films professionally since 2002 and have produced work on key projects including the 2012 Olympic torch relay, Mencap Music Man, Ride of Your Life and Royal Opera House Creative Partnerships. Several of my documentaries and music videos have been broadcast on national TV networks including Sky, Virgin and Freeview.
My aim is to produce immersive, engaging films with the highest production values. I usually work alone as a self-shooting producer and editor and my approach combines a broad spectrum of technical and artistic disciplines.
I try to ensure my work is always evolving, which I believe is what makes a successful business. My priority with each and every project, is to create powerful, evocative and artistic content and above all, balanced and accurate storytelling.
My business, Paul Carpenter Films, is based in Thurrock, Essex, located approximately 10 miles from London and 1 mile from the M25 and QE2 bridge. I offer services to private and public sector clients all over the UK, mainly in London, the South East and Essex.
I have now produced films on behalf of many public and private sector clients including ROH Bridge, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Total Jobs Group, House of Colour, Thurrock Council, Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and Havering Council.
My production services are custom-designed to suit the specific requirements of small-medium sized businesses and large corporates operating within budget constraints. Balancing priorities to ensure my projects are always on time and on budget, I believe in treating all clients and contributors equally, with sensitivity, respect and professionalism.
I have full broadcast-level production facilities including an EOS Cinema camera set up (200mb/s 4:2:2 facilities), a BBC-approved-spec video camera, DSLR rig and high-end broadcast lighting kit. Post production facilities are driven by Adobe Production Premium CS6.
